This past weekend I attended my first music festival-Hangout in Gulf Shores, Al. Let me tell you, my eyes have been opened to a whole new world. Whoever said music is the universal language could not be more correct. I saw people with dread locks, people with tattoos, piericings, kids in their teens, folks in their 50s, fratdaddies and sorostitutes united in one setting. How fabulous it was to share one common element with thousands of different people from different backgrounds and that element being: music.
The music at the festival ranged from folk music, rock and roll, dubstep, to electronica. Each and every performer did a phenomenal job and I cannot wait to attend next year. I must say however that the show that captured my heart overall though, I must say was Pretty Lights. The electronica genre captivated my inner being and allowed me to let go of all of the worries and thoughts and just groove to the music. The beauty of the beats and sounds all collaborated into one can make anyone feel like he or she is on top of the world.
The music festival inspired my blog-most importantly the title of it: Easy, Lucky, Free.
